Okay how do I explain the the Splatoon manga(s)...

Coroika is a manga of Splatoon, following both it's story mode and multiplayer modes. It is the most successful out of the other Splatoon mangas but is hated by most of the community for its crude humor but for some reason not the actually problematic stuff in some of the chapters, huh. It's way more popular in Japan, with all of their fancy region exclusive content and splatfests relating to Coroika. I'm still mad that the rest of the world couldn't get Emperor's jacket.

Coroika has many characters that fans just adore, besides Goggles. Anyways many people love Rider, the S4, X-bloods, literally any characters in the background like my blorbo Octoglasses. Ocho and the Splatville Hierarchy are new characters but are already very popular in the fandom so yeah, most of us are just here for our favorite characters really.
